XIV. LICENSE EXAM INFORMATION

  1. It is the apprentice’s responsibility to assure that they have all of the appropriate documentation in place to take to the State Examiner.

  2. Once the apprentice has met all of the requirements of the program, the committee will act to refer the apprentice to the Bureau of Labor and Industries for testing. The Bureau of Labor and Industries will document the action taken by the committee and then submit the exam request to the Building Codes Division. Once the Building Codes Division receives the request for exam, they will mail the apprentice an information packet including an application for exam. You, as an apprentice, are responsible to complete the application and return it to the Building Codes Division with any applicable fees.

  4. Apprentices must submit a copy of their exam results to the committee. After receiving passing results, the committee will take action to complete the apprentice from apprenticeship program

  5. When all program requirements have been satisfied, the committee acts to complete the apprentice. This action and the effective date will be included in the minutes. The Building Codes Division sends the apprentice a letter, Journey worker card, and a Completion Certificate.
